How to use the Curriculum Hub

1 · Getting started

No account is needed to read the curriculum or teach from it.

The Hub carries all sixteen datasets — Grades 5 to 12, General and Advanced, Term 1, across Cycles 2 and 3. The first thing to do is tell it which one you are teaching.

1. At the top of any page, click the VIEWING box (it shows a grade, stream and term).
2. Choose your grade and stream. Everything on screen switches to that guide — outcomes, vocabulary, planners and all.
3. Your choice stays in the address bar, so you can bookmark it and land straight back on your own curriculum next time.

If you do want an account

Click Account in the top right, create one with your email, then add your class under My Workspace — name, grade, stream and the CCG week you are currently on. Your name and school appear automatically in the header of every planner you print.

The fastest way to find anything

Press Ctrl + K (or Cmd + K on a Mac) anywhere in the Hub and start typing. It searches lesson names, outcomes, vocabulary, grammar points, functional language, glossary terms and strategies at once.

The main views

Checking against the original

Anything reproduced from the Ministry guide carries a gold Official CCG · p. N ribbon. Click it to open that exact page of the official PDF and compare for yourself. If something looks like a typo, it is almost always a typo in the source document, kept deliberately rather than tidied up so that what you see matches what your students see. Those are all listed under Source & Attribution.

3 · Prepare and print

Professional A4 documents with your details already filled in.

Open Print Centre, or pick a planner from the Plan menu. Each one gives you a live A4 preview, a portrait/landscape switch, and a Print / Save as PDF button. Choosing "Save as PDF" in the print dialogue gives you a file you can email or upload.

The Vocabulary Sheet

From Vocabulary in the Explore menu you get three buttons:

• Copy all vocabulary — the whole list to your clipboard, for a worksheet or a message.
• Print vocabulary — an A4 word list. Choose the scope (one week, the whole chapter, or the whole term) and whether to show which lessons each word comes from.
• Practise — opens the Play & Improve revision activities for your grade in a new tab. Toolkit That is a separate site with its own word lists, so they may not match this term's CCG list exactly.

Words are listed once, alphabetically, exactly as the guide prints them. Nothing is added — no definitions and no translations, because the CCG does not print any.

4 · Teach — the live classroom companion

Built to stay open while you teach, not to be read at a desk.

Click Start Teaching on any lesson — from a lesson card, from your class, or from Continue Teaching on the home page. That opens Teaching Mode: your lesson on the left, classroom controls across the top.

Two screens, on purpose

• The Companion is yours. It shows only the fields you choose — the goal, the outcome codes, resources, vocabulary, your own note.
• The Projector is your students'. It opens as a separate window you can drag onto the classroom screen and make fullscreen. It never shows your account, your classes or your private notes.

Float the Companion over your slides

Float Companion lifts the panel out into a small always-visible window, so it sits above PowerPoint or a PDF while you teach. In browsers that cannot do that it opens a compact separate window instead — either way you keep your lesson goal in view without switching tabs.

The classroom controls

Keyboard shortcuts

With your hands busy, these are quicker than clicking: G goal · T timer · A attention · H hold · B blank · V vocabulary · R resources · N next lesson · P previous · Esc back. They are ignored while you are typing.

Finishing the lesson

Start Session begins timing the lesson; End Lesson asks whether it was Taught or needs a Revisit, takes an optional note, and updates your coverage record automatically. You never have to mark it twice.

5 · Track your teaching

This part needs an account, because it is your data.

• My Classes — add each class with its grade, stream and current CCG week. Each card shows the lesson you are on with a Start Teaching button.
• Curriculum Coverage — every lesson marked Not Started, Planned, Taught or Revisit. Ending a lesson in Teaching Mode fills this in for you.
• My Notes — private notes against a lesson, week or outcome. Never mixed with official content.
• My Bookmarks — anything you want to come back to quickly.

Your workspace is private to your account. Nothing is shared with other teachers, and the Hub records no student data of any kind — no names, no marks, no behaviour.

6 · What you can trust

Two layers, deliberately kept apart.

Official CCG · p. N Gold ribbons mark content reproduced from the UAE Ministry of Education Comprehensive Curriculum Guide — word for word, including its punctuation and its occasional slips. Every one carries the page number it came from.

Teacher Toolkit Dashed navy tags mark everything built by Mourad Mekki around it: the navigation, search, planners, Teaching Mode, your notes and your coverage.

The Hub never invents curriculum content. It writes no activities, no differentiation, no assessment tasks and no timings, because those are not in the source document — that professional judgement stays yours.

The curriculum is the intellectual property of the UAE Ministry of Education. The Hub is an independent teacher reference tool and is not an official Ministry product.

Anonymous usage measurement

The Hub reports two things to the Mourad Learning OS measurement layer: that a print job happened, and that a lesson was delivered, with how many minutes it ran. That is the whole record — counts and minutes. No name, no email, no class, no grade, no lesson title, no note text and no student data of any kind is sent, and the schema has no field that could carry them. Nothing you read, search or type in the Hub is measured.

7 · Common questions

The projector window did not open

Your browser blocked the pop-up. Click Open Projector again and allow pop-ups for this site when prompted.

I cannot sign in

Check the email and password first, then use the reset link on the Account page. If the whole workspace says it is unavailable, the curriculum, planners and Teaching Mode all still work — sign-in is only needed for classes, notes and coverage.

My class shows a different grade from the page

The Hub tells you so rather than guessing, and offers to switch to that class's own curriculum. Click that link, or change the VIEWING box at the top to match.

Something in the official text looks wrong

It is very likely a defect in the printed guide, preserved on purpose. Check Source & Attribution, where every one is logged with its page number, or open the source page and compare against the official PDF.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

Yes — reading, planning and the timer all work. Teaching Mode's floating companion and the separate projector window are designed for a laptop or desktop with a classroom display.
